This project attempts to document the ways LGBTQ+ people have survived the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the ways we have thrived in these extraordinary times. We’ve chosen to explore LGBTQ+ stories during epidemics because our resiliency as individuals and as a community should be understood as a model to help others survive the unimaginable.These stories were collected as a final group project for the Epidemic Emergences Humanities Lab in the Fall of 2021 taught by Dr. Fox and Dr. Brian. The creators of this project are Rae, Kara, Ky, and Michael.
